About the Firm

Ricky D. Green began his legal career in worker's compensation representing injured employees in Dallas, Texas. He later worked for a law firm that specialized in workers’ compensation defense for 9 years, where he became a profit partner for the last 3 years of service. He opened the doors to his law firm on February 16, 2005 and continues to dedicate his practice to representing insurers in workers' compensation cases.

Since he represented injured employees, this background gives him a keen and unique insight into how to defend and win a case. He knows what arguments the injured employees will make. This allows him to formulate and present the best defenses possible. This insight gives our firm a competitive advantage. We pass this advantage to our clients.

Ricky has specialized in Texas workers' compensation insurance defense for more than 14 years. His law firm provides a complete range of services including Austin Board representation and handling benefit review conferences, benefit contested case hearings, administrative appeals, subrogation, judicial review litigation, Designated Doctor submissions, medical dispute resolution, complaint resolution, subsequent injury fund reimbursements, continuing education, and non-subscriber representation. He travels to every field office in the State of Texas, and is familiar with the policies, practices, and procedures in every location.

With a leadership role in the state's workers' compensation system, Ricky is a member of the Texas State Bar planning committee for the Advanced Workers' Compensation Seminar, and he is a regular speaker at this seminar in Austin, Texas. He is also authorized by the Texas Department of Insurance to present certified continuing education courses. He maintains a strong presence before the Division of Worker's Compensation by routinely attending stakeholder meetings, and also participates in a focus group, whose main objective is to make recommendations to the Division on how to improve the workers' compensation system.

Steven M. Stamps is a licensed attorney who began working as an associate for the Law Office of Ricky D. Green in 2010.  He is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law.  Steven was born and raised in Arizona and graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Business Management.   Steven is an exceptional attorney with hands-on experience in Texas workers’ compensation claims.  He has been involved in handling benefit review conferences, benefit contested case hearings, administrative appeals, subrogation, judicial review litigation, Designated Doctor submissions, medical dispute resolution, complaint resolution, subsequent injury fund reimbursements, and continuing education since his first day with our firm.
